Willard Van Dyke influenced me to incorporate a real person in my photos. He influenced me to capture an actual moment in the image such as putting an earbud in or blocking your face from the sun. Van Dyke's captivation of hands also inspired me to look for a new picture. Black and white finalizes the display and makes it all work.
You explained how the photographer influenced you with great detail. This is what I had hoped would happen. Many people who pick up a camera never understand at this level. Some who understand are unable to explain.
